Week 8

Baby is the Size of a Raspberry

8 weeks, 6 days

Bitty baby bump is on the way!
Baby H's webbed finger and toes are sticking out of little limbs.

Just when I thought my symptoms were subsiding week 8 showed up.  My nausea comes and goes in stronger waves and I feel like I'm walking around in a cloud.  I have so many things I want to do and accomplish this summer, but it seems like finishing some series on Netflix is all I have energy for.  Although I hate feeling like a zombie, it is a good reminder that my little nugget is growing and is ok in there.  My next sonogram isn't until week 12 and I'm anxious to see the baby again and be reassured that everything is ok.

Over the weekend, we went to my family's farm house and took some photos for our online pregnancy announcement, which we have decided to push to 12 weeks instead of 10.  Here are a few of my favorites.

How far along? 8 weeks
Maternity clothes? No, but my sweet friend started handing down her maternity clothes, which are so very sexy.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Tossing and turning due to vivid dreams of crazy random things like Nicole being pregnant again or bugs under my hotel pillow.
Best moment(s) this week:
1) Drinking virgin daiquiris on the beach with Kristin and discussing Baby Hall.
2)Taking our announcement photos and relaxing on the farm.
3)Continuing to share the news with family and friends.  Everyone's reactions make me cry all over again and I know Baby Hall is going to be one spoiled, lucky, and loved baby.

Week 7

Baby is the Size of a Blueberry
What a wonderful week it has been!  I had my first sonogram and got to see my little one and his or her beating heart!  It was such a relief to know that everything looks the way it should and that there is only one in there.  I went to the doctor thinking I was 7 weeks and 3 days, but the baby measured 6 weeks and 6 days, which changed my due date to February 3, 2015 - the day after my husband's birthday.

This week we also started telling our family and close friends, which is so much fun!  I love seeing everyone's reactions.  We sent these cards to our dads for Father's Day and had them call us after they opened it.  Their reactions were priceless and they are so excited to be grandparents.

It's so wonderful having our family and close friends know now.  It makes it feel real and more exciting!

7 weeks

Keep growing my little blueberry!
Biologically my baby is a he or she, although genitals are not visible yet.

How far along? 7 weeks
Maternity clothes? No, but pants are no longer an option unless I use the rubber band.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping through the night is becoming less common, but I'm still loving my afternoon naps!
Best moment this week: Baby's first picture and telling our family and friends.
Miss Anything? Starbucks.
Movement: None
Food cravings: My appetite is slowly coming back.  One night this week I had to have canned peaches.  Nothing could stop me.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Strong smells in the kitchen.
Gender: I had a dream it was a baby girl...
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms:
-Morning sickness- I'm still nauseous, but since I am eating more it is more tolerable than last week.
-Sore breasts
-Exhaustion
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Both
Looking forward to: Seeing my best friend in person this weekend to celebrate!

Week 6

Baby is the Size of a Sweet Pea

6 weeks, 3 days
Thank you to my amazing friend Nicole for making this banner to use each week :)

I can't believe how much this little one has already grown in size.
Baby is 1/4 of an inch long.
How far along? 6 weeks
Maternity clothes? No- but, I did use the rubber band trick once this week because my pants were uncomfortable.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Naps are my new best friend.  I am not a napper, but everyday this week around 3:00 I fall asleep on the couch for about an hour.
Best moment this week: Receiving our first "Congratulations" card from the Rowans! Having someone to talk to helps tremendously and makes it feel more real.
Miss Anything? COFFEE.  I miss my morning and afternoon pick me ups.  I have decaf some mornings, but it just isn't cutting it.
Movement: None
Food cravings: Everything and nothing.  I want something desperately until it's in front of me and then it grosses me out.  Last night I attempted to make a salad, but once the lettuce was in the bowl my mind changed and I couldn't eat it.   Unless it's ice cream, I can always eat ice cream.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Indian food, which I used to love.  The smell and look of it makes me nauseous.
Gender: Already impatient with waiting....
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms:
-Constant morning sickness, which only goes away when I eat.  The problem with that is that I'm not hungry this week.  It feels like an all day hangover, everyday.  I should probably be eating healthier than I am, but right now I just need to eat whatever I can stomach.
-Abdominal cramping has slowed down, thankfully.  It was painful last week, so I'm glad to see that start to fade away.
-Exhaustion=naps
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Both
Looking forward to: Sharing the news with our families on Father's Day and for my first ultrasound next week.
